Workshop on “Spin-Orbit Coupling in Surface or Interface States”:

8-12 June 2015, Spetses, Greece

WS2

Workshop imagesThe meeting will serve as a think-tank on the role of spin orbit coupling (SOC) in low dimensions and possible routes towards applications.  The program will include talks on SOC-induced effects in the following systems: Rashba interfaces, surface or interface of topological insulators, graphene with enhanced SOC, magnetic ultra-thin films with interface-induced chiral spin interactions, skyrmions and chiral domain walls.  Both experimental and theoretical work will be highlighted.
